FUUVO™ Cookie and Location Permission Policy
1. Who we are and who this policy applies to
FUUVO™ is an AI conversation and creation service operated by FUURAA HOLDING GROUP PTE. LTD. This policy applies to the FUUVO website, web application, mobile application, and related login, conversation, creation, analysis and localisation features.
Data Protection Officer (DPO) and privacy contact: dpo@fuuvo.com. We use this email address to receive enquiries, access or correction requests, consent withdrawal requests and complaints relating to personal data, Cookies and location permissions.
2. Cookie consent and the first-visit notice
When you first visit FUUVO, we distinguish between strictly necessary Cookies and optional Cookies. Necessary Cookies support login, session security, abuse prevention and the storage of your Cookie choices. Preference Cookies and performance and analytics Cookies are enabled only when you choose to allow them.
You may select “Use necessary Cookies only” or open “Manage Cookie settings” to enable or disable optional categories individually. Refusing optional Cookies will not affect FUUVO’s core chat, writing, translation, document analysis or workspace functions.
3. Types of Cookies and similar technologies
The table below describes the technology categories used by FUUVO and their general retention periods. The specific Cookie names, providers, domains and current activation status are provided in the FUUVO Cookie settings panel and the Third-Party Service Provider List. We will update those pages when the relevant information changes.
| Category | Primary purpose | Default status and retention |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary Necessary | Login, session maintenance, authentication, CSRF and abuse prevention, security, storage of Cookie choices and delivery of core services. | Enabled by default and cannot be disabled. Session Cookies are generally deleted when the session ends; security and choice records are retained for no longer than 12 months. |
| Preferences | Remembering language, theme, display preferences, workspace settings and certain interaction preferences. | Disabled by default and enabled only when selected. Retained for no longer than 12 months, or deleted earlier when you delete or withdraw consent. |
| Analytics | Understanding page loading, feature usage, errors and response performance to improve stability and user experience. | Disabled by default and enabled only when selected. Retained for no longer than 12 months; aggregation, de-identification and access controls are applied. |
| Location permission Location | Using the location context required to answer a request when you actively request a localised feature and grant permission. | Not a default Cookie. FUUVO does not automatically read precise GPS location when you enter the product; precise location is requested only as described in Section 6. |
Settings stored in Cookies or Local Storage may include language, theme, interface preferences, consent records and necessary session identifiers. We do not write precise GPS location to browser storage merely because you visit FUUVO.
4. How we use analytics data
Analytics data may include online identifiers, device and browser information, page or feature usage events, loading times, error codes and approximate region. Even where we apply de-identification or aggregation measures, the data may in some circumstances remain associated with a device or account. We therefore do not describe it as “completely anonymous”.
Analytics data is used only for service stability, product improvement, security monitoring and capacity planning, and is not sold to advertisers. FUUVO does not currently use analytics data for targeted advertising or cross-service tracking. If we introduce such functionality, we will provide a separate notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law before enabling it.
5. Third-party services and international transfers
To provide FUUVO, we use entrusted cloud hosting, authentication, cybersecurity, error monitoring, AI model, search, mapping, weather and analytics services. The Third-Party Service Provider List on the FUUVO website identifies the service providers currently enabled, their processing purposes, data categories, countries or regions of operation and privacy policy links.
Third parties may process only the data required for their services under contract and our instructions, and must implement reasonable security measures. When personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we apply contractual, technical and organisational measures required by applicable law to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
6. Location data and location permissions
6.1 When we request location permission
FUUVO requests precise device location only when you actively use a feature that requires your current location, such as “restaurants near me”, “local weather” or “nearby services”. Before the system permission request, FUUVO displays an in-product explanation. We do not continuously collect precise location while the product is idle or running in the background.
6.2 Purpose and scope of precise location
If you choose to allow access, FUUVO reads only the precise location needed to complete your request and uses it as geographical context for that request. Refusing permission does not affect core chat, writing, translation, document analysis, code-generation or workspace functions. You may enter a city, district or place name manually instead.
6.3 IP address and approximate location
To establish network connections, provide services and maintain security, FUUVO may process the IP address automatically transmitted by your device and infer an approximate region from it. An IP address is different from precise GPS location. We do not treat an IP-derived region as your authorisation of precise location, and we do not enable nearby recommendations merely because you visit the website.
6.4 Disclosure to models and other service providers
If an AI model, search, mapping or weather service is needed to complete a localised request, we transmit only the minimum location context required for that request. Whether precise coordinates are transmitted, the receiving service provider, the retention period and the applicable privacy policy are described in the Third-Party Service Provider List.
6.5 Retention, deletion and security
FUUVO does not use precise location to build a daily movement profile and does not sell it to third-party advertisers. Precise location is processed only for as long as necessary to complete the relevant request. If it must be retained because of chat history, legal obligations, security audits or service-provider processing, the FUUVO Privacy Policy or the Third-Party Service Provider List will state the applicable retention period and purpose.
6.6 Withdrawing permission
You may turn off location permission at any time in your iOS, Android or browser settings, or use manual location entry in FUUVO. Withdrawal will not affect core services already provided, but features that require current location may no longer be available.
7. Retention periods and security measures
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements or complete necessary security audits. When the applicable retention period ends, we delete the data or remove the means by which it can be associated with an individual.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures, including HTTPS/TLS transmission, access controls, least-privilege access, log protection, supplier management and security incident response. No security measure can guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that requires notification under applicable law, we will handle it in accordance with that law.
8. Your choices, requests and complaints
- Change your optional Cookie preferences in “Settings - Privacy and security - Cookie settings”.
- Turn off location permission in your device or browser settings.
- Contact dpo@fuuvo.com to make a personal-data access or correction request, withdraw consent or submit a privacy complaint. We may use reasonable methods to verify the identity of the requester.
- Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. After withdrawal, we will stop the relevant processing unless the law permits or requires us to continue.
If you are dissatisfied with how we handle your data, please contact us first using the email address above. You may also seek assistance from the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore (PDPC).
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy when our products, laws or service providers change. We will notify you of material changes through the website, in-app notice or another appropriate channel, and will update the effective date at the top of this policy.
